Horse & Jockey Inspired Nursery Design

featuring Caitlin Wilson Design’s new Cait Kids wallpaper line!

I loved putting together this little nursery design featuring Cailtin Wilson’s new line of children’s wallpaper, “Cait Kids”, in Horse and Jockey pattern. The color palette is soothing, the wallpaper whimsical, but it’s just sophisticated enough that mom and dad can enjoy, too!

Brass, leather, and wood are synonymous with equestrian design. Which is why this raw wood crib from Restoration Hardware Baby & Child is the perfect compliment to this equestrian nursery design. I just love the cane panels and clean lines of this crib!

I pulled the slate blue from the wallpaper as an accent color. I just love this functional, but beautiful indigo dresser from Frontgate. The brass hardware and fluted leg detail makes it a timeless piece (and the perfect place to tuck the diapers and baby necessities out of sight!).

The glider is Pottery Barn Kids - it’s the same one we have personally and it’s such a good size/scale (many of the ones I compared it to were much smaller/shorter). So comfortable for the many hours you’ll spend rocking babe to sleep! This version has a wood base that compliments the crib!

Crochet Horse Baby Mobile

A few other accent pieces I love include the blue rug from Dash & Albert (highly recommend D&A rugs!), this Design Dua handwoven changing basket with leather handles (a stylish but functional piece, I love my own!), brass rimmed mirror, framed horse shoe prints, brass accent table, and pair of grey gourd lamps!

This crochet horse mobile would be the perfect fit for this horse nursery! We have this exact one in my little one’s nursery (a gift from Grandma!) and she enjoys gazing at it every night. This particular mobile from Etsy is made to order so I customized the colors of the horses to include a black one (my Jumper!) and a white one (my Hunter!).

This slate blue equestrian inspired nursery was so fun to dream up!
